Folder 2 Gunsmithing. Research includes PA Gun Collectors’ Association Directory, 1955-56 and “The .50-70 cartridge” by Frank Wheeler, The Gun Report, July 1955. Also manuscripts, correspondence, book reviews in newspapers and order form for more Pennsylvania/Kentucky rifle books.

Folder 3 Gunsmithing. Henry Kauffman’s original folder title “Gun Repairs”. This folder contains research, correspondence and five photocopies of sketches of Jacobsburg State Park done by Dale Prinkey.

Folder 4 Gunsmithing. Henry Kauffman’s original folder title “Guns”. This folder contains an original document about John Nicholson gunsmith of Philadelphia. 1797.

This folder contains research and includes photocopies of documents dated 1775 and 1776, Rules for Management and Cleaning of the Rifle Musket, Model 1863, booklet from the Edw. K. Tryon Company’s 125th Anniversary Philadelphia, two photocopies of letters dated 1792, three photocopies of a letter to James Hamilton from the Historical Society of Pennsylvania dated 1755, floor plan for a gun shop and correspondence.
