The Fulton Theatre

fultontheatre 300wOriginally called Fulton Hall, the Fulton Theatre at 12 North Prince Street has been a center for the performing arts, social gatherings, and civic affairs for over 150 years. In 1873 the hall was converted into a grand theatre. The Fulton has hosted entertainers and speakers such as Mark Twain, the Barrymores, George M. Cohan, John Philips Sousa, Buffalo Bill Cody, Wild Bill Hickock, Victor Herbert, Sarah Bernhardt, Maude Adams, and President Woodrow Wilson.

 

The Fulton Theatre is believed to be the oldest continuously operating theatre in America and has been named a National Historic Landmark.
